Every time a celebrity, or in this case a fashion celebrity, appears out of thin air, the shadows, or descends from heaven, whichever you prefer, a slight upheaval will take place. In these instances you must be quick. If you are not willing to run, push, and get down on the ground, don’t place your bets on getting a great photo…from the front. I am not a professional photographer, but I did do all of the above. Though with this photo I stayed behind. She looks a bit innocent and shy with that hand behind her back.

“I’ll try to make more of an effort of putting some text with these images. Today was Thursday. That’s a good start. I’m not going to talk about fashion in this post, nor do I plan on talking about fashion in any of these posts. Why do you need to talk about it? Just look. Just watch people. I remember being in this giant mass of people at the Valentino or Lanvin (I don’t remember which it was anymore) show here in Tuileries. What a weird experience I have to say. After seeing these kinds of photos in magazines and on blogs, it’s really quite amazing to actually be where it all comes together.
Photographers are running around trying to capture top editors, models, celebrities, and any interesting outfits. Then there are the subjects, usually those without tickets, standing around in their little outfits, waiting and hoping for someone to ask for their picture, oozing just a bit of desperation. And then there was me, a 20 year old girl from the suburbs of Michigan, watching with my Nikon that I got for Christmas (thanks, Dad!) trying to take in all that was happening. I learned though quickly enough.”
